Vertex is currently recruiting a Shift Electrical Engineer to cover the Royal Museums Greenwich and all associated sites, including the National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House, Park Row Building, Cutty Sark, Royal Observatory Greenwich, PPMCC Kidbrooke, and the Royal Brass Foundry at Woolwich.
Reporting to the Contract Manager you will be working within the engineering maintenance team. You will provide all – round engineering support, maintaining the building infrastructure. You will have a detailed understanding of all new of current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/Building Codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work
- Completion of PPM and reactive tasks for their respective shift team
- Identification of materials required to be ordered in a timely manner and completion of the internal Materials Request Form (MRF1)
- including critical plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, standard of housekeeping
Average 40.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday shift rota
5 on – 3 off – 7 on – 2 off – 7 on – 4 off
Wk 1 on Mon – Fri / off Sat – Sun
Wk 2 off Mon / On Tues – Sun
Wk 3 On Mon / Off Tue – Wed / On Thur – Sun
Call out duty required. 1 in 4
However, flexibility is required to complete the duties associated with the role.
