About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team based in Reading . This role is integral to the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated electrical systems for a variety of cutting-edge projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of electrical components and infrastructure. This position offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement , allowing for a dynamic blend of in-office collaboration and remote productivity, fostering an efficient and balanced work environment in the heart of Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop complex electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
Create detailed schematics, layout diagrams , and technical specifications for electrical installations.
Perform system analysis , simulations, and testing to validate design performance and ensure compliance with standards.
Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and software developers to ensure successful project execution.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical design processes and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in electrical systems design and engineering, with a strong understanding of power systems and control theory.
Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and relevant simulation tools.
Experience with industry standards and regulations relevant to electrical engineering.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, suited for a hybrid work setting .
