Electrical Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join their growing team in Glasgow . This role is integral to the design, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems for various applications. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical components and systems function cohesively and meet stringent performance and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles applied to electrical domains and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and architecture for electrical systems, ensuring they meet user needs and project specifications.
• Develop and manage interfaces between different electrical subsystems and components.
• Perform system-level design, integration, and testing of electrical hardware and software.
• Conduct trade studies and technology assessments to identify the best solutions for system challenges.
• Create detailed system documentation, including design specifications, interface control documents, and test plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues, collaborating with component engineers and other specialists to find effective solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical systems engineering, including design, integration, and testing.
• Proven experience with systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., DOORS, SysML).
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, including power systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Experience with V&V (Verification and Validation) processes for complex systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
