Electrical Test Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Electrical Test Engineer to join their manufacturing and development team in Derby . This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electrical products through rigorous testing procedures. You will design, implement, and execute test plans, analyze results, and collaborate with design and production teams to resolve any issues. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of electrical testing methodologies and a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role based at our facility in Derby .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and procedures for electrical products.
• Design and build specialized test fixtures and equipment as needed.
• Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing of electrical components and systems.
• Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to implement corrective actions and improve product design.
• Maintain calibration and ensure the accuracy of test equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in electrical product testing and validation.
• Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Knowledge of automated test software and scripting is a plus.
• Understanding of quality control processes and standards.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, required for on-site work in Derby .
