About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Electrical Test Engineer to join their product development team in Portsmouth . This role is essential for ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of our client's electrical products before they reach the market. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and procedures. Working within a well-equipped laboratory, you will collaborate with design engineers to identify and resolve issues, contributing significantly to the product lifecycle in Portsmouth .
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement electrical testing protocols and procedures for new and existing products.
- Conduct functional, performance, and environmental testing on electrical components and systems.
- Analyze test data, identify failures, and report findings to the engineering team with detailed recommendations.
- Develop and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and calibration schedules.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, CE).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues identified during testing phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical product testing or validation.
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment , including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience in writing and executing test scripts and documenting test results.
- Familiarity with safety standards and compliance testing for electrical products.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
