About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a meticulous Electrical Test Engineer to join their growing team in a fully remote capacity, supporting their operations based in Reading . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of their electrical products and systems. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, analyzing test data, and collaborating with the design team to identify and resolve defects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, procedures, and test cases for electrical hardware and systems.
- Design and build automated test fixtures and equipment for efficient product verification.
- Execute functional, performance, and environmental testing on electrical components and assemblies.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and report defects clearly and concisely to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand product specifications and troubleshoot issues identified during testing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Test Engineer, with a strong understanding of test methodologies.
- Proficiency in using various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Experience with automated test software (e.g., LabVIEW, Python scripting for testing).
- Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware testing is advantageous.
