Electrical Test Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and skilled Electrical Test Engineer to join their dynamic team in Portsmouth . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of their manufactured electrical products and systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test procedures, analysing results, and providing feedback to the design and production teams. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for electrical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
• Design and build custom test jigs and equipment as required to facilitate testing.
• Conduct routine and non-routine tests, including functional testing, performance testing, and environmental testing.
• Analyse test data, identify trends, and document findings clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant industry standards and quality management systems.

Requirements

• HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Test Engineer or in a similar quality assurance role.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, measurement techniques, and testing equipment.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and statistical analysis is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
