Electrical Test Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Electrical Test Engineer to join their product development team in Reading . This role is vital for ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of our electrical products through rigorous testing and validation. You will be responsible for developing test plans, executing tests, analyzing results, and providing detailed feedback to the design and development teams. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of electrical principles, and a passion for quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for electrical components and finished products.
• Set up and operate electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers.
• Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing according to established protocols.
• Analyze test data, identify trends, and document test results clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to diagnose issues and verify fixes.
• Maintain test equipment and ensure calibration records are up-to-date.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering , Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience (3+ years) in electrical testing and validation, preferably in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
• Proficiency with a range of electrical test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and testing methodologies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
