Electrician - Glasgow

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their team serving the Glasgow area, operating on a hybrid basis. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical theory, safety regulations, and best practices. You will ensure that all electrical installations are safe, compliant, and functional, contributing to the reliable operation of client facilities and providing essential services.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and tests on electrical systems to identify faults.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely.
• Ensure compliance with current BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
• Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools effectively.
• Good problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client liaison in Glasgow .
