Electrician – Solar PV | Tiverton | EX, TQ, TA & PL

Are you an experienced Electrician looking to build a career within the renewable energy and Solar PV sector?

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join a leading renewable energy company, covering Tiverton and the surrounding areas, including the EX, TQ, TA and PL postcode areas.

The role will involve working on commercial and residential rooftop Solar PV installations, carrying out planned and reactive electrical work, maintenance, fault finding and repairs.

Previous Solar PV experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Industrial, Commercial or Domestic Electrician looking to move into the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.

The Role

As a Solar PV Electrician, you will travel to commercial and residential customer sites to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, servicing and fault-finding work on rooftop Solar PV systems.

The majority of work will be within the local area, covering Tiverton, Devon and surrounding EX, TQ, TA and PL postcode areas, with no regular long-distance stay away.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills within the renewable energy sector and progress your career as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical work on commercial and residential Solar PV systems

• Install, service and maintain Solar PV electrical systems

• Fault find and diagnose electrical faults

• Repair and replace electrical components, cabling, inverters and associated equipment

• Attend commercial and residential sites to complete maintenance and repair works

• Carry out electrical testing and inspections where required

• Complete work to a high standard and in accordance with relevant electrical regulations

• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records

• Work safely and professionally while representing the company on customer sites

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – BS7671

• Previous Commercial, Industrial or Domestic electrical experience

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Solar PV / Renewable Energy experience is preferred but NOT essential

• Experience with Solar PV, Battery Storage / BESS or renewable energy would be advantageous

• Candidates looking to move from traditional electrical backgrounds into Solar PV and Renewable Energy are encouraged to apply
