About the Role
Our client is looking for an innovative Electronics Design Engineer to join their cutting-edge R&D team, offering a flexible remote working arrangement from anywhere within the UK. This role is central to the conception, design, and development of novel electronic hardware solutions. You will contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping to testing and production support. The ideal candidate thrives in a research-oriented environment, possesses a strong grasp of electronics principles, and is adept at translating complex requirements into functional designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic circuits and systems for new product development.
- Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Perform circuit simulations and hardware testing to validate designs.
- Select appropriate electronic components and ensure their availability and compatibility.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers and mechanical designers to ensure seamless integration of electronic components.
- Troubleshoot and debug electronic hardware issues throughout the development process.
- Contribute to technical documentation and support the transition to manufacturing in Cambridge 's vibrant tech ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in analog and digital circuit design.
- Proficiency with ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence) and simulation software (e.g., SPICE).
- Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity and power management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at remote collaboration.
