Electronics Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Electronics Installation Engineer to join their technical services team in Portsmouth . This role focuses on the precise installation, configuration, and initial testing of sophisticated electronic systems for a variety of clients across Hampshire and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electronic equipment is installed correctly, safely, and operates to specification. The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for electronics, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality installations, contributing to our client's reputation for technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and connect electronic systems, including wiring, components, and peripherals.
• Configure electronic equipment and software according to project specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform initial testing and calibration of installed systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve basic installation-related issues with electronic equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and installation guides.
• Maintain detailed installation records and provide reports on work completed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in electronics installation, repair, or maintenance.
• Solid understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in using electronic testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• A full UK driving license is required for travel to client sites around Portsmouth .
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
