Embedded Software Engineer - Electrical Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and debug embedded software for microcontrollers and other embedded systems used in scientific instruments.
• Develop firmware for device drivers, communication protocols, and control algorithms for electrical hardware.
• Collaborate closely with electrical and hardware engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure software robustness and reliability.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in embedded software development, with a solid understanding of hardware interaction and electrical principles.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
