About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Embedded Systems Engineer to join their cutting-edge R&D team in Brighton . This role involves the design, development, testing, and deployment of embedded software and hardware for new product innovations. You will work on challenging projects that require a deep understanding of microcontrollers, real-time operating systems, and hardware-software co-design. The ideal candidate will be passionate about embedded technologies and committed to delivering high-performance, reliable embedded solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded hardware and software solutions using microcontrollers and processors.
- Write, debug, and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) and firmware.
- Develop and implement device drivers, communication protocols, and application-level software.
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging of embedded systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration.
- Create comprehensive documentation for embedded designs, code, and testing procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded systems development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded applications.
- Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC, AVR).
- Familiarity with RTOS concepts and embedded debugging tools.
- Understanding of hardware-software co-design principles and electronic circuit design.
