Embedded Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Embedded Systems Engineer to join their cutting-edge R&D team in Brighton . This role involves the design, development, testing, and deployment of embedded software and hardware for new product innovations. You will work on challenging projects that require a deep understanding of microcontrollers, real-time operating systems, and hardware-software co-design. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware and software solutions using microcontrollers and processors.
• Write, debug, and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) and firmware.
• Develop and implement device drivers, communication protocols, and application-level software.
• Perform hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging of embedded systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration.
• Create comprehensive documentation for embedded designs, code, and testing procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded applications.
• Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC, AVR).
• Familiarity with RTOS concepts and embedded debugging tools.
• Understanding of hardware-software co-design principles and electronic circuit design.
