Description
A global asset management firm is seeking to hire an EM Sovereign Credit Research Analyst to join the Emerging Market Debt team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis on sovereign debt and monitor sovereign risk from emerging market issuers.
- Assess economic fundamentals, geopolitical factors, policy making, and valuations to determine overall credit worthiness.
- Conduct country analysis and develop in-depth knowledge of economies and markets.
- Work closely alongside Portfolio Manager and communicate research ideas.
- Participate in investment debate with the wider EMD team presenting research on relevant countries and regions.
- Produce research publications for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with other investment teams, as well as Client and Marketing groups to produce content for market commentaries when necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
- 3-7 years of sovereign research/analysis experience.
- Solid understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets, and public debt instruments.
- Excellent academic background.
- Independent thinker who is intellectually curious and able to operate with a strong sense of initiative and ownership.
- Strong team player mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while providing high quality output.
