Job Description
Choice Teachers is currently seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and experienced Employability Tutor to join a vibrant educational setting in Stevenage . While this is primarily a full-time role (37 hours per week), we are very happy to consider part-time applications for the right candidate.
This role is ideal for an educator or career development professional who is passionate about helping learners build essential life skills, improve career readiness, and transition successfully into employment, apprenticeships, or further training. You will deliver engaging sessions focused on CV writing, interview techniques, workplace communication, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging employability and vocational skills sessions tailored to diverse learner groups.
- Teach practical career skills including CV writing, job searching, interview preparation, and professional workplace behaviours.
- Set clear learning goals, track individual student progress, and provide constructive, supportive feedback.
- Help learners identify career pathways, build self-confidence, and develop action plans for their futures.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, retention, and achievement in line with quality standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience delivering employability training, vocational education, or career guidance within a school, FE college, training provider, or adult learning environment.
- Relevant teaching, training, or assessing qualifications (e.g., PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS, Award in Education and Training, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Strong communication, mentoring, and motivational skills with a patient and approachable manner.
- Available to start immediately on a full-time or flexible part-time basis.
