About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join their HR team in Liverpool . This critical role focuses on fostering a positive and productive work environment by effectively managing employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies, and providing guidance to managers. You will be responsible for investigating grievances, managing disciplinary processes, and advising on complex employment law matters to mitigate risk and promote a harmonious workplace. This is a key role for someone passionate about employee well-being and constructive workplace dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and other ER concerns.
- Provide expert advice and support to line managers on complex employee relations matters.
- Develop and implement strategies to proactively improve employee relations and reduce potential conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with all UK employment legislation and company policies related to employee conduct.
- Facilitate mediation and resolution of workplace disputes.
- Contribute to the review and update of HR policies and procedures based on ER trends and legal changes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Employee Relations Specialist role or a similar ER-focused HR position.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct complex investigations and manage sensitive situations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence effectively.
- CIPD qualification highly desirable.
