Employee Relations Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and empathetic Employee Relations Specialist to join their remote HR team. This role is dedicated to fostering a positive and fair workplace environment by managing and resolving employee relations issues effectively and proactively. You will provide expert guidance on HR policies, conduct investigations, and develop strategies to enhance employee engagement and minimize risk. This position is crucial for ensuring a respectful and productive atmosphere across the entire organization, operating entirely remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and conduct thorough investigations into employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and other ER concerns.
• Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, company policies, and procedures.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive employee relations climate and improve engagement.
• Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
• Stay updated on employment law and best practices related to employee relations.
• Develop and deliver training to managers and employees on ER-related topics.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues and legal counsel as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or in a similar ER-focused HR role.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct sensitive investigations with impartiality and thoroughness.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage sensitive issues remotely.
