Employment Solicitor – Associate / Senior Associate
Location: Birmingham
PQE: 1–5 years
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level to join a Legal 500 Tier 1-ranked Employment team in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded national employment practice that continues to experience significant growth. The successful candidate will work alongside leading employment lawyers on a broad and technically varied caseload.
The team has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality employment advice and is involved in leading-edge work, including complex issues surrounding equality, freedom of speech, and the education sector.
The Role
You will undertake a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work, gaining exposure to a varied and high-quality caseload.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on a broad range of employment law matters
- Handling Employment Tribunal litigation and contentious employment matters
- Providing strategic and commercially focused employment advice
- Supporting corporate and education-sector clients on complex employment issues
- Developing specialist sector expertise through exposure to sophisticated client work
- Assisting with complex and technically challenging employment matters
- Delivering client training, seminars, and legal updates
- Supporting business development initiatives and helping to develop existing and new client relationships
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's national Employment practice
- Contributing to the continued growth and profile of the team
About You
- Strong technical employment law experience
- Experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Excellent written and drafting skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- An interest in business development and developing your professional profile
