About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their reputable firm in Wolverhampton . This advisory-focused role will involve providing comprehensive legal support to employers across a range of sectors, covering all aspects of employment law. You will be responsible for advising on complex employee relations issues, drafting and updating employment contracts and policies, and guiding clients through disciplinary and grievance procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer passionate about employment law to contribute to a busy department and develop strong client relationships within the West Midlands .
Key Responsibilities
- Advise employers on all aspects of UK employment law, including dismissals, discrimination, and TUPE regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, and consultancy agreements.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary investigations and grievance procedures.
- Represent employers in Employment Tribunal claims and other dispute resolution processes.
- Conduct employment law training for clients' management teams.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in employment law .
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
- Proven experience in advising employers on contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Excellent drafting skills for contracts, policies, and settlement agreements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload and provide pragmatic, commercially-focused advice.
