Employment Lawyer

About the Role

Our client, a prominent commercial law firm in Bristol, South West England , is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their specialist team. This role requires providing expert advice to a range of businesses on all aspects of employment law, including contentious and non-contentious matters. You will be involved in drafting employment contracts, advising on disciplinary and grievance procedures, and representing clients in employment tribunals. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled employment lawyer to contribute to a leading firm and advise significant clients in the South West region.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise employers on day-to-day employment law issues, including contracts, policies, and disputes.
• Draft and review employment contracts, staff handbooks, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in employment tribunal proceedings and other dispute resolution forums.
• Advise on TUPE regulations, redundancies, and business re-organisations.
• Conduct employment law training for clients.
• Manage complex employee relations issues and investigations.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 4+ years of experience in employment law .
• Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and case law.
• Proven experience in handling contentious employment disputes.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
