Employment Lawyer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their highly regarded practice in Brighton . This role involves advising a diverse range of clients, from businesses to individuals, on all aspects of employment law. You will handle contentious and non-contentious matters, including drafting employment contracts, advising on disciplinary procedures, and representing clients in employment tribunals. The successful candidate will possess strong advocacy skills and a deep understanding of the evolving employment law landscape in the South East .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employment law matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and redundancy.
• Draft and review employment contracts , policies, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in Employment Tribunal claims and other dispute resolution forums.
• Advise employers on strategic HR issues, TUPE, and business reorganisations.
• Conduct internal investigations and disciplinary proceedings for corporate clients.
• Deliver training sessions to clients on employment law compliance.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 5 years of experience in Employment Law .
• Proven experience in handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• In-depth knowledge of current employment legislation and case law.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload and build strong client relationships in Brighton .
