What will you be doing?

You'll have exposure to the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law, which could include:

• Day-to-day strategic and HR advice to employers
• Employment Tribunal litigation
• Disciplinary, grievance and capability matters
• Redundancies and restructuring
• TUPE and business transfers
• Employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements
• Complex and sensitive employee issues
• Working with the Partners on higher-value and more complex matters

There will also be plenty of client contact, giving you the opportunity to build your own relationships rather than simply working behind the scenes.

Who are they looking for?

Ideally, you will be an Employment Solicitor around 3–8 PQE with a good grounding in employment law.

Employer-side experience would be particularly useful, but just as important will be your approach.

This is a friendly, supportive and collaborative team, so they want someone who enjoys working with other people, sharing ideas and being part of an office rather than operating in isolation.

You’ll need good technical skills, commercial awareness and the confidence to develop relationships with employer clients.

Ipswich office

The Ipswich office is fully established.The firm wants people to benefit from actually being together in the Ipswich office, particularly given the opportunity to work directly alongside the two Partners and the wider local team.

There could still be an element of hybrid working, but this would particularly suit someone who sees being around experienced colleagues as a benefit rather than an obligation.
