Employment Solicitor – Part Time

Location: Northamptonshire / One day in office per month

Hours: 3 days per week

Salary: Up to £85,000 FTE, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

The Opportunity

A highly regarded specialist employment law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its established team on a three-day-per-week basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer seeking greater flexibility while continuing to work on a high-quality and varied caseload. The firm has an established reputation for providing commercially focused, pragmatic employment law advice to both employers and employees.

The successful candidate will be given a significant degree of autonomy and will be expected to manage their own caseload, advise clients directly and contribute to the continued development of the practice.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of employment law matters, including:

• Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal and discrimination
• Whistleblowing and breach of contract matters
• Settlement agreements
• Redundancy, disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Employment contracts and policies
• Restrictive covenants
• TUPE
• Employer and employee advisory work
• ACAS negotiations and Employment Tribunal proceedings
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, agreements and other legal documentation
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales
• Have strong experience in employment law
• Be comfortable acting for both employers and employees
• Have experience managing their own caseload
• Have strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
• Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice
• Be confident dealing directly with clients
• Be able to work independently while contributing positively to a specialist team
