We are recruiting for an Energy Claims Adjuster on behalf ofa highly regarded London Market Insurer.

Key Responsibilities

• Managinga portfolio of Energy claims (upstream, downstream, renewables and power)within a designated claim authority.
• Undertakingan initial evaluation of cause of loss.
• Decidingthe Company’s response to claims, based on correct interpretation ofpolicy and underwriting documentation.
• Assistingin the process for setting and entering into claims systems, accurate,realistic and timely claim reserves.
• Liaisingwith clients, loss adjusters, solicitors, experts, brokers, MGA’s andTPA’s.
• Liaisingwith underwriters & risk managers, finance, Management, Home Officeand with network.
• Maintainingaccurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes, preparing reportsas necessary.
• Supportingmanager and senior claims team to deliver the strategic objectives for thefunction and develop a broker engagement strategy.
• Assistingin the management of international programs.

Key Requirements

• Energyclaims handling experience on a lead and follow basis.
• Currentexperience, understanding and practice of the technical / legalrequirements of the role.
• Goodgeneral knowledge and understanding of the key insurance principles andpractices of the London Market.
• Goodknowledge of all specific I.T. applications used in the role (e.g. CLASS /ECF2).
• Goodworking knowledge of coverage provided under Energy policies.
• Generalawareness of current regulation, case law, and market issues.
• Effectivecommunicator with proven Vendor / expert management.
