Energy Efficiency Consultant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Energy Efficiency Consultant to join their expanding team in Southampton . You will be responsible for assessing energy consumption in commercial and industrial buildings, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing strategies to reduce energy waste and operational costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent client-facing abilities, and a deep understanding of energy management principles and technologies. You will work on diverse projects, helping clients achieve their sustainability goals and improve their environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive energy audits and surveys of commercial and industrial facilities.
• Analyze energy usage data to identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-effective solutions for improvement.
• Develop detailed energy efficiency strategies and implementation plans tailored to client needs.
• Prepare and present reports to clients, outlining findings, recommendations, and projected savings.
• Advise clients on the latest energy-saving technologies, building management systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Support clients in the implementation of energy-saving measures and monitor their effectiveness.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an Energy Consultant or in a similar role focusing on energy management.
• Strong understanding of building physics, HVAC systems, lighting, and other energy-consuming equipment.
• Proficiency in energy modeling software and data analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and energy certifications (e.g., ISO 50001, LEED) is advantageous.
