About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze energy market data, including prices, volumes, and fundamental supply/demand factors.
- Develop short-term and long-term price forecasts for key energy commodities (e.g., gas, power, carbon).
- Identify and assess the impact of regulatory policies, economic trends, and geopolitical events on energy markets.
- Prepare regular market reports, insightful commentary, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with trading teams to provide market intelligence and support decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of analytical models and forecasting methodologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy market analysis, commodity trading, or energy consulting.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R).
- Excellent understanding of UK and European energy markets, including power, gas, and carbon.
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote environment .
