About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical Energy Markets Analyst to join their strategy team in Cambridge . You will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and forecasting trends across the UK and European energy markets, including power, gas, and carbon. Your insights will be crucial in informing the company's commercial strategies, trading decisions, and investment planning. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze developments in wholesale energy markets, policy, and regulation.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proven experience in market analysis, forecasting, or research, preferably within the energy industry .
• Strong quantitative and modeling skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel, Python, or R.
• Excellent understanding of energy market fundamentals and dynamics.
