About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Energy Policy Advisor to join their strategic team, based in Reading . This role is crucial for analyzing and shaping energy policy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and the evolving regulatory landscape. You will research, evaluate, and advise on national and international energy policies, contributing to the company's long-term strategy and compliance efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret developments in energy policy and regulation across relevant jurisdictions.
- Develop policy positions and recommendations for company strategy and advocacy efforts.
- Prepare policy briefs, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Engage with government bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders on policy matters.
- Assess the impact of proposed policies on the company's operations and business development.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in energy policy analysis or a related government/consulting role.
- In-depth understanding of UK and international energy policy frameworks and regulatory processes.
- Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing remote and office-based collaboration.
