Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly motivated Energy Project Manager to oversee critical projects within the burgeoning energy sector in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is central to managing the lifecycle of energy infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will liaise with diverse teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to drive project success. Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the planning, execution, and closing of energy infrastructure projects .
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
• Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the energy or utilities industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from initiation through completion.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with the UK energy market and regulatory landscape.
