About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Energy Storage Solutions Engineer to join their innovative team, operating in a fully remote capacity with a base in Reading . You will be at the forefront of designing and developing advanced energy storage systems, focusing on battery technologies and grid-scale solutions. This role involves working closely with R&D, project management, and deployment teams to bring state-of-the-art energy storage projects to fruition. You will leverage your expertise in electrical engineering and power systems to address the growing demand for reliable and sustainable energy solutions, shaping the future of energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer energy storage systems , including battery management systems (BMS) and power conversion.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new storage projects.
• Develop and optimise system architecture for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure successful system integration and production.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in battery technology and energy storage solutions .

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• In-depth knowledge of battery chemistries, power electronics, and grid integration.
• Experience with simulation software and system modelling tools.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
