About the Role

Our client, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Energy Storage Solutions Manager to drive the development and deployment of innovative battery storage projects across the UK. Based in Bristol , this hybrid role requires a blend of strategic planning, technical expertise, and stakeholder management. You will lead initiatives from concept to commercialisation, working with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver impactful energy storage solutions that enhance grid stability and support renewable energy integration. Your expertise will be crucial in scaling our client's offerings in this rapidly growing market segment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's strategy for energy storage solutions, including market entry and expansion.
• Lead the technical and commercial evaluation of new energy storage projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design.
• Manage relationships with technology providers, EPC contractors, and other key partners.
• Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring successful implementation, commissioning, and operation of storage systems.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and cost reduction in energy storage technologies and business models.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the energy storage sector.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical) or a related technical field; an MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the energy sector, with at least 4 years focused on energy storage systems (e.g., battery technology, BESS).
• Strong understanding of battery chemistries, power electronics, grid integration, and associated control systems.
• Proven experience in project management, business development, and financial analysis within the energy industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with UK energy markets and regulatory frameworks related to storage.
