Key Responsibilities

• Execute trades for various energy commodities (e.g., electricity, natural gas, oil derivatives) to meet company objectives.
• Monitor market trends, news, and geopolitical events that may impact energy prices.
• Develop and implement trading strategies to maximise profit and minimise risk exposure.
• Analyse market data, price fluctuations, and supply/demand dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
• Manage the company's trading positions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including risk management and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years as an Energy Trader, with demonstrable success in managing commodity trading portfolios.
• Deep understanding of energy markets, trading mechanisms, and financial derivatives.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and market data analysis tools.
• Strong risk management capabilities and a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks.
