The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a successful horticultural and food production business seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations across one of their key sites.
You'll be responsible for managing maintenance activities, developing engineering strategies, improving equipment reliability, and leading a team focused on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the engineering department
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Delivering site reliability and performance targets
- Managing engineering budgets and resources
- Driving continuous improvement projects
- Overseeing contractor management and compliance
- Ensuring engineering activities support production requirements
- Promoting a strong safety culture across the site
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or senior leadership role
- Engineering qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, fresh produce, or related sectors
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Budget management and project delivery experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
