Supply Desk are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Watford area, starting this September.
This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about English and enjoys inspiring students through engaging, creative, and thought-provoking lessons. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to helping students develop their reading, writing, communication, and analytical skills while contributing positively to the wider school community.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, curriculum-aligned English lessons, supporting students to develop their knowledge and understanding of literature, language, and communication. You will monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to express themselves and develop confidence in their abilities.
The role also offers opportunities to become involved in extra-curricular activities and school initiatives, helping to enrich students' educational experience and encourage a love of reading, literature, and the English language.

Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities Track and report students’ progress Liaise with parents/carers to deliver reports Support students in developing their reading, writing, communication, and analytical skills Encourage students to engage with a wide range of literary texts and develop a passion for English Contribution to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes
Requirements
Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) English teaching experience or relevant subject knowledge Passion for the development of learning Excellent classroom management skills Inclusive ethics Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature and the ability to engage students with the subject
