Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the environmental impact of mining operations, including air quality, water management, and waste disposal.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, permits, and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the site's environmental management system.
• Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections, identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies and internal management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector .
• In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and permitting processes in the UK.
• Experience with environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of waste management, water treatment, and air emission control strategies.
