About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join their dedicated team in Bristol , focusing on challenging remediation projects. This role involves the assessment of contaminated land and groundwater, the design and implementation of effective remediation strategies, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will work across a variety of industrial, commercial, and brownfield sites, contributing to the restoration and sustainable development of land. This is a vital role for an engineer passionate about environmental protection and sustainable land use.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations and risk assessments for contaminated land and groundwater.
- Design and manage the implementation of soil and groundwater remediation technologies.
- Prepare environmental reports, including site condition surveys and remediation action plans.
- Ensure all remediation activities comply with UK environmental legislation and guidelines.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor the effectiveness of remediation systems and provide post-remediation advice.
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related science.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation.
- Strong knowledge of remediation technologies and environmental best practices.
- Experience with site investigation techniques and groundwater monitoring.
- Proficiency in relevant environmental software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
