Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily cleaning and disinfection routines for patient rooms, common areas, and clinical spaces, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
• Operate and maintain specialised cleaning equipment, including auto-scrubbers and electrostatic sprayers, ensuring proper function and care.
• Manage and dispose of general, infectious, and hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
• Respond promptly to spills and biohazard incidents, executing containment and cleanup procedures safely and effectively.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and consumables in assigned areas, maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Participate in regular training sessions on new cleaning techniques, infection prevention, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a healthcare or similar high-standard environment.
• Demonstrable knowledge of infection control principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, including COSHH awareness.
• Ability to manage physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
