About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Environmental Services Technician to ensure a pristine and safe environment within facilities in Liverpool . This role is crucial for maintaining hygiene standards, preventing the spread of infection, and ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for occupants. You will be involved in a range of cleaning tasks, from routine upkeep to specialized disinfection procedures, using a variety of equipment and approved cleaning agents. This position demands a high level of responsibility and a proactive approach to maintaining environmental cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine cleaning and disinfection of assigned areas, including floors, surfaces, and fixtures.
• Manage waste collection and disposal, adhering to site-specific procedures and regulations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Respond to spills and other cleaning emergencies promptly.
• Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in washrooms and kitchens.
• Uphold infection control standards and contribute to overall health and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, preferably in a public or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their safe application, and storage.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A reliable and conscientious work ethic.
