Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized cleaning duties in patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and clinical spaces.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers and disinfectors.
- Manage the collection, segregation, and disposal of regulated medical waste and general refuse.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of pathogens.
- Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels in assigned areas.
- Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and spills, following established safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably in a healthcare or similar sensitive environment.
- Knowledge of infection control principles and hazardous material handling.
- Understanding of cleaning chemicals, their uses, and safety precautions.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols accurately.
- Physical stamina for manual cleaning tasks and handling of waste materials.
