Equipment Installation Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Equipment Installation Specialist to join their team in Edinburgh, Scotland , operating on a hybrid basis. This role requires a balance of remote planning and coordination, alongside hands-on installation and setup of specialized equipment at client sites. You will play a key part in ensuring that installations are carried out efficiently, correctly, and to the highest standards, providing excellent customer service throughout the process. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys varied work, problem-solving on-site, and contributing to the successful deployment of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate equipment installations, liaising with clients and internal teams.
• Perform physical installations, configuration, and testing of equipment at customer locations.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during and immediately after installation.
• Deliver basic training to clients on the operation and maintenance of the installed equipment.
• Document all installation activities, including site reports and completion checklists.
• Maintain inventory of installation tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.

Requirements

• Previous experience in equipment installation, field service, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to the equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret installation manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the region for on-site installations.
