About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is focused on ensuring all company equipment is maintained to the highest standards, minimizing operational disruptions. You will be responsible for performing routine checks, preventative maintenance, and necessary repairs to keep machinery and systems in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and possesses strong mechanical and electrical aptitude to handle a wide range of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of all relevant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as per the established schedule.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar equipment maintenance or mechanical technician role.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to health and safety best practices.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be available for on-site duties.
