Job Description
We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused Estates Officer / Street Warden to join a busy housing team based in Newark.
You’ll act as the eyes and ears of the council across local estates, carrying out inspections, engaging with residents and reporting issues to help keep neighbourhoods safe, clean and well managed.
Key duties:
Estate and neighbourhood inspections
Engage with residents and report concerns
Identify repairs, ASB, fly-tipping and environmental issues
Check communal areas and vacant properties
Litter picking and minor DIY/maintenance
Maintain records and escalate issuesWhat we’re looking for:
Customer-facing experience
Reliable, dependable and comfortable working outdoors
Good communication and community engagement skills
Practical/DIY ability
Full UK driving licence and confident driving a vanWhat's on offer:
£20–£22 per hour (Umbrella), depending on experience
Initial 6-month contract with potential to extend
Company van provided
Immediate interviews and quick startLocation & Travel
The role is based in Newark and involves travelling across estates and neighbourhoods in the local area. A company van is provided, so you’ll need to be confident driving and comfortable travelling between locations during the working day.
