Estimating Associate Director/ Project Director Defence

Job Description

Important: Due to the sensitive nature of these projects, you must be a Sole UK National able to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). See Security Clearance Section.

Turner & Townsend is a leading consultancy provider to the infrastructure sector. We are looking for talented Associate Directors and Project Directors with proven estimating leadership skills to work with key Defence sector clients across the South East, South West, and Midlands on a wide variety of projects and programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes.
• Play a leading role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
• Drive the achievement of departmental objectives.
• Stay current with developments within your technical area.
• Support or lead bids for new work.
• Provide direction to staff working for you on specific tasks.
• Act as a role model for less experienced staff.
• Lead interfacing with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
• Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Identify and act upon cross‑selling opportunities.
• Manage staff where appropriate.
• Engage in knowledge management activities.

Qualifications / Experience

• Proven estimating leadership experience.
• Defence sector estimating experience.
• Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience.
• Experience with estimating software packages.
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / ACI.
• Experience working on major programmes and projects.
• Experience in the Defence sector.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
