Hawkes Resourcing Group is working confidentially with an established and highly successful construction business looking to strengthen its Pre-Construction and Estimating team. Suitable candidates will receive further information before any details are submitted. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗘 Joining an established pre-construction team, you’ll prepare and manage competitive tenders across a variety of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include: ▪ Reviewing tender documentation, drawings and specifications ▪ Preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates ▪ Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries ▪ Obtaining, analysing and comparing quotations ▪ Identifying commercial opportunities and risks ▪ Working closely with pre-construction, commercial and operational colleagues ▪ Attending tender meetings, site visits and internal reviews ▪ Supporting value engineering and alternative construction solutions ▪ Delivering commercially robust tenders within agreed deadlines ▪ Supporting the transition from pre-construction into delivery ▪ Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗪𝗘’𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 An experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator from a main contracting, fit-out, refurbishment or similar contracting background. Ideally, you’ll bring: ▪ Around five or more years of relevant estimating experience ▪ A strong understanding of tendering and pre-construction ▪ Good commercial awareness and attention to detail ▪ Experience pricing projects from drawings and tender documentation ▪ Strong subcontractor and supplier knowledge ▪ The confidence to work independently and as part of a team ▪ A professional, practical approach to estimating Applications are welcomed from both established Estimators and Senior Estimators. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗘 £70,000–£85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a car allowance and excellent company benefits.
