Your new role
As Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for leading the estimating function and managing the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission. Working closely with commercial, operational and pre-construction teams, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates while identifying potential risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions. You will review drawings, specifications and contract documentation, obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations, and contribute to tender strategy discussions. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring that submissions are delivered to the highest standard and within strict deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have significant experience in an Estimator or Senior Estimator position within the construction industry. You will possess a strong understanding of construction methods, procurement routes and commercial principles, alongside the ability to interpret complex technical information and prepare detailed cost plans. Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously. A relevant construction-related qualification will be advantageous, although candidates with substantial industry experience will also be considered.
