Event Caterer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Event Caterer to join their team in Sunderland . This role involves ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality catering services for a variety of events, from corporate functions to private parties. You will be responsible for food preparation, setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and is passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality within the Tyne and Wear region.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Set up catering stations, buffets, and dining areas efficiently and attractively.
• Provide professional and friendly food and beverage service to guests during events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering areas and equipment during and after service.
• Assist with inventory control and restocking of supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with the catering team to ensure all event requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality service role is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions accurately.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
