Event Catering Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Event Catering Assistants to support their operations in Southampton . This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the vibrant events industry, working on a variety of functions from corporate dinners to weddings. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of events by assisting with setup, food and beverage service, and client interaction. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event venues, including arranging furniture, decorations, and serving stations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure tables are cleared and reset efficiently between courses or as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of service areas, adhering to strict hygiene standards .
• Respond promptly and politely to guest requests and any issues that may arise during the event.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous, but not essential.
• A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to teamwork.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
