Event Catering Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organized and client-focused Event Catering Manager to join their team in Birmingham . You will be responsible for the seamless execution of catering services for a variety of events, from corporate functions to private celebrations. This role requires a blend of logistical planning, client liaison, and on-site management to ensure every event is a resounding success. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all logistical aspects of event catering, including staffing, equipment, and menu coordination.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout the planning process.
• Supervise catering staff on-site during events, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to standards.
• Develop event proposals and finalize details, working within budget constraints.
• Conduct pre-event briefings with the team to outline responsibilities and timelines.
• Address any issues or client concerns that arise during an event promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management or catering operations, preferably in a client-facing role.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for building rapport with clients and staff.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, capable of handling challenges in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules in Birmingham .
