Event Chef - Mobile Catering

About the Role

Our client, a leading mobile catering company, is seeking talented and adaptable Event Chefs to join their team for various events across the region, based out of Nottingham . This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs who enjoy variety and thrive in dynamic, on-the-go environments. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious food at diverse venues, from weddings and festivals to corporate events and private parties. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality food under varying conditions. This role requires flexibility and a passion for creating memorable culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of dishes to a high standard at various event locations.
• Manage food preparation, cooking, and plating effectively within mobile kitchen setups.
• Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to strict food safety standards.
• Collaborate with the catering team to manage inventory and ensure all necessary ingredients and equipment are on hand.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mobile kitchen unit throughout events.
• Adapt to different menus and cuisines as required by event specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably with experience in event catering or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and culinary skills across various cuisines.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, often with limited resources.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
• Relevant food hygiene certification (e.g., Level 2 or 3).
